The comprehensive rehabilitation project is based on the premise of enhancing light and increasing the spatial sensation of the spaces, proposing open-plan spaces connected to each other spatially.
The original building was developed through work spaces with little natural light and little relationship with the outside space. The objective of the proposal was therefore to resolve the connection of the work areas with the exterior and propose bright and spacious spaces.
The building is made up of 3 main spaces, the entrance space where the customer service areas are located, a work space next to the service area where the administration positions are developed and a third space where the address and meeting rooms. The objective of the project was to propose that these three spaces were related, but at the same time understood as separate.
The circulation spaces from the entrance of the building to the old part are unified by means of the same material as an arrival carpet. Said carpet materialized by wooden flooring provides a longitudinal connection throughout the intervention. The use of the same resource in part of the courtyard, merges the exterior and interior space. The use of wood in the vertical facing of the double height also unifies the circulations on the different floors.
The false ceilings articulate and delimit the work areas while integrating the necessary facilities. Flexible, dynamic and light-filled work spaces are proposed.
