Mema House

The original distribution of the excessively compartmentalized house did not respond to the requirements of its new owners. The distribution took place through a long corridor without ventilation and natural light.

The proposal is therefore based on generating flexible and open spaces that broaden the sensation of space and enhance light in the home.

The kitchen is integrated into the living room where the island is part of the furniture. The tall modules of the kitchen structure the entrance hall, minimizing the views towards the kitchen from the access to the house. The distribution of the accesses to the rooms is produced through a wooden cube that in turn forms the dining space.

The use of neutral and clear elements constitute the basis of the proposal. The oak flooring brings warmth to the home. Materials such as carrara marble in the bathroom or the island add richness and texture to the purity of the space.
