Las Haciendas House

The warehouse reconstruction project develops a building with a rectangular shape on its floor, made up of two attached volumes. It is a building made up of the addition of two volumes with a rectangular floor plan, a main volume that contains the main program of the building and is taller and a second volume, lower in height, that contains two changing rooms and a small store.

The two volumes are resolved with a curved ceramic tile roof, four and one pitch, and their volumetry reconstitutes, almost exactly, the existing volumes before their demolition. The building’s contact with the ground is resolved by means of a stone plinth, of variable height, which is interrupted only where the accesses occur. In general, said plinth ascends to the height of the doors (2m10) and varies to adapt to the terrain. On this plinth, the building’s façade is resolved with an exposed concrete wall and the roofs are made of ceramic tiles.

Wood is used for the exterior carpentry and the use of fixed wooden panels that give continuity to said carpentry on the ground floor.
