The project is located on a plot between party walls, the intervention proposes an emptying with conservation of the façade since it is protected.
The program is developed in 3 levels. On the first level, all the common areas, living room, dining room and kitchen are developed in an open space, which opens with a large window towards the backyard. This patio is made taking advantage of the total width of the plot, thus creating a vegetal backdrop for the day space. This access area will recover the original hydraulic pavement of the two houses, to combine it with the reinforced concrete floor.
On the first level, an exposed concrete staircase will allow access to the second floor, the night area. On this floor there is a large study/library area, two simple bedrooms with a shared bathroom and a suite bedroom with a dressing room and bathroom inside.
The existing protected façade is conserved, repairing it and maintaining the same composition of holes, carpentry is replaced by others of new construction, replicating the composition of the original ones.
On the upper floor, the volume is set back from the street so as not to alter the image of the original façade of a two-story single-family house.
