Sarami House

The original distribution of the excessively compartmentalized house did not respond to the requirements of its new owners. Unbalanced rooms with little light, especially in the distribution areas, characterized the original configuration.

The proposal is therefore based on generating flexible and open spaces that broaden the sensation of space and enhance light in the home. Multifunctional spaces such as the living room and the study are proposed that amplify the scale of the adjoining spaces. Through mobile elements, different scenarios are created throughout the day.

The kitchen is planned as a wall integrated into the living room where the island is part of the furniture. The library structures the circulations of the house while letting light into the distribution areas.

The use of neutral and clear elements constitute the basis of the proposal. The oak flooring brings warmth to the home. Materials such as the gray jura marble in the kitchen, the carrara marble in the main bathroom or the ceramic betone poque brought from Italy in the second bathroom add richness and texture to the purity of the environment.
